Spilling My Secrets On How To Manage Stress

What’s in Your Heart? Understanding and Managing Stress for a Healthier You

Dear Reader,

Welcome to our third installment of the “What’s in Your Heart?” series. Today, we’re focusing on a crucial topic that affects us all: stress and its impact on our hearts.

But first, what exactly is stress? Stress is our body’s response to pressure from a situation or life event. It can manifest physically, emotionally, and psychologically. While we often think of stress negatively, it’s important to remember that not all stress is harmful—it’s a natural part of life that can sometimes motivate us to take action or make changes.

The reality is, we can’t completely avoid stress in our lives. However, what we can control is how we cope with it. By developing effective stress management strategies, we can significantly reduce its negative impact on our hearts and overall well-being.

Chronic, unmanaged stress can take a significant toll on our heart health, potentially leading to high blood pressure, increased risk of heart disease, and overall decreased well-being. But there’s good news: we have powerful tools at our disposal to manage stress effectively.

Here are three practical strategies to help you keep stress at bay and protect your heart:

  1. Set Healthy Boundaries: Establish clear limits at work and in your personal life. Learn to say “no” when necessary and prioritize recovery time. Remember, balance is key to maintaining a healthy heart and mind. For my Boundaries book challenge click here
  2. Prioritize Self-Care: Never underestimate the power of good sleep, a balanced diet, and regular exercise. These fundamental practices form the cornerstone of stress management and heart health.
  3. Clear Negative Energy: Utilize tools like Box Breathing, EFT, Emotion Code, Body Code, and Heart Wall sessions to release trapped emotions and negative stress. These techniques can be transformative in reducing your overall stress load.

As a personal note, I’ve found great benefit in using technology to support my stress management journey. The Welltory app, paired with my Apple Watch, helps me monitor my stress levels in real-time. Additionally, I use Quantum Upgrade for YOU energy to enhance my overall health and well-being.

Remember, while we can’t eliminate stress from our lives, we can learn to manage it effectively. This isn’t a luxury—it’s a necessity for a healthy heart and a fulfilling life. If you’re feeling overwhelmed by stress and would like support in implementing these tools, don’t hesitate to reach out. Our Emotion Code, Body Code, and Heart Wall sessions can be powerful allies in your journey to a calmer, healthier you. There's more I can share about managing stress for my next installment.

Hi Reader, Have you ever felt a deep sense that something isn’t quite right? You’re doing the work. You’ve prayed, journaled, processed, maybe even gone to therapy. And yet... there’s still something heavy in your body or heart you can’t quite name. I know that space. And I want you to know:You’re not broken. And it’s not all in your head. Your body holds wisdom. The kind that doesn't always speak in words, but in tension, fatigue, emotions, and inner nudges. And the beautiful thing? We can learn...

Dear Reader, If you’ve been moving through a breakup or divorce — or even carrying the weight of an old one — I want to say this gently, but honestly: You don’t have to hold it all anymore. When the heart breaks, it doesn’t just break emotionally — it stores. Our bodies are so loyal that they’ll hold the heartache for us… Tucking it into what we call a Heart-Wall — layers of emotional energy wrapped around the heart to protect it from ever hurting like that again. But here’s the thing… That...

Dear Reader, Discover Healing is celebrating big — and I’ve got something special for you. I still remember the exact moment I said yes to becoming certified in Emotion Code. It wasn’t logical. It was personal. Something deep inside me just knew this was the work I was meant to do. I wanted to help people feel seen, supported, and safe in their emotions. I wanted to bring healing to places no one else could reach. I wanted to break generational patterns and help others do the same — and...
